Rahma Lossing Vancouver Film School Tour
20020-02-14
Today we had a prod-day so I decided to book a tour with VFS just to explore some post-secondary options. Some things about VFS is that it's 12 fast-paced months, you will be completely immersed in your field of study, getting crucial production experience doing the things you love most. When I arrived at my meeting with my dad we sat down in Scott Williams's office asked him a couple questions about the classical animation, writing for film, television, games program. I learned that I need to create a portfolio with some of my work and that I'm not passionate about it that I won't make it anywhere and that you should want to wake up in the morning and go to school or work if you aren't excited about it then find something else. When I was done asking all my questions we headed over to the animation and film campus witch was only one block away from Scott's office. My first step into the campus I was gobsmacked, there were all my favorite movies and shows all framed up on the wall and then Scott tells me that all the pictures of movies and shows we see upon the board at least 2 or more of our alumni were apart of the creation. I found that pretty impressive and exciting. Scott showed us around the building giving us a little bit of a feeling of what it would be like to be a student there. My favorite room was the green screen room as you can see in the video below, walking into that room you couldn't see where the wall as it was such a weird feeling, not knowing where the wall was.
